The prep continues!

I love my job!! Have I said that lately??? I have had such a great few weeks and every day I'm so thankful that I do what I do.
January was such a busy month! I was lucky enough to be able to go to Virginia for Chelsey Cooleys StandOut retreat and I got to meet so many of the 2010 Miss and Teens. We took part in rollerskateing, paintball, horsebackriding and many others. I was unfortunatly really sick during my time there and spent most of my time in bed asleep, but the few activities I was able to participate in were a blast!
Meeting all the girls just made me realize how special this Organization is. Every single girl is so motivated, well- spoken, educated and beautiful. Im honored every day to be in this elite group.

I am one of the lucky 7 girls that was able to take part in an amazing experience of filming the reality series for http://www.mrkd.tv/
BGirls follows Miss/Teen Idaho USA, Miss/Teen Nevada USA, Miss/Teen Virginia USA and Miss Washington Teen USA
Airing 8 webisodes in April-May, the show follows us through various challanges and our daily challanges we face as we prepare for the biggest competition of our lives. I highly encourage you to bookmark http://www.mrkd.tv/ and watch each episode. Its going to be a great show.
Not only did I have a great week filming for BGirls but I also got to know each of these ladies very well. Samantha and Jessca will be competing with me in May and they truly are beautiful inside and out... I know it sounds cliche but we had such blast filming and Ill be excited to see them in May.

I also, for the first time, was able to spend significant time with my teen, Audrey Denison. She is one spectacular and motivated young lady. She is definitely a role model for all girls to look up to. Im so proud to have her as my sister queen for the year:)

During the week of filming. I also got to attend Miss America. I had been looking forward to seeing some of my MAO sisters all year... I also finally got to see Katie Stam in person and talk with her for a moment! I hadnt seen her since she was crowned so I was so happy to see her. It teared up as I hugged her and congratulated her on an incredible year of service. She made our 2oo9 class so proud.
I also ran into a few of my MAO sisters! Alaska and Oregon were there night 2 and I saw a few others over the next few days as well! I love those girls!
For Valentines Day, Audrey and I visited the Sunrise Childrens Hospital and made Valentines with some of the patients. We helped them make valentines for their parents and their nurses. It was so wonderful to be able to do something special for these little patients. They enjoyed every moment and we did too:)
